I have always had a taste for the fashion scene... "Creativity is . . . seeing something that doesn't exist already. You need to find out how you can bring it into being and that way be a playmate with God."Michele Shea Tamanna Roashan is based in the Bay Area in Northern California with over 8 years of professional experience.
MINI BIOGRAPHY
As an only child with way too much time on my hands, I experimented with anything related to art and creation. My initial passion was fashion design. Sketching designs on my notepad consumed my entire childhood and adolescent life... That is, up until the day I realized that I actually had to stitch and sew the clothes together myself too. So I dropped it like a bad habit and picked up photography, and then grew out of that too. I finally landed back in fashion, but this time, as a stylist.
At 17, right after graduating highschool, I went off to beauty school and became a California State Licensed Cosmetologist by 18. I also obtained 3 different makeup artistry certificates at The Makeup Institute in San Francisco: Mastering Makeup Techniques, Bridal Makeup, and Fashion/Photography Makeup.
Since then, I have experienced many fields in the beauty industry. I worked as a hairstylist at Victoria's Hair on Stage in Blackhawk, CA. I was also their primary makeup artist, focusing on weddings and special occasions. I eventually left the salon and ventured on my own as a freelance artist to support me as I continued my college education at California State University, East Bay (Hayward) and got my Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Marketing.
In 2003, I landed a job as a temporary Beauty Advisor for Lancome Cosmetics. Within one and a half years, I was promoted to the Residential Makeup Artist full time, and eventually became the Color Director of my store. I was sent for specialized trainings in San Francisco with Lancome's National Color Director, Ross Burton, and in turn, I would teach my counter the newest trends and techniques. I am still with Lancome today, full time as well, as a part of its West Coast Management Team.
I love what I do with all my heart, and I will keep loving it as I continue to grow as an artist.

MY VIEW AND MY MISSION
"Creativity is a drug that I cannot live without.
As an artist, I am visually inclined in every thing I arrange or create.
Design is not just what it looks like and feels like.
Design is how it works. I make things work. That is my passion, that is
my trade. I am an artist, and the human face is my canvas.
Makeup artistry is not only color and placement, it is an illusion.
It is the talent of camouflaging flaws and revealing true and
natural beauty. Makeup is not putting on a mask- it is an enhancement
and should be treated that way. The purpose is not to hide you,
it is to radiate your individual exquisiteness...
something no one else can possess but yourself."
